Loss of Obaladi of Afonland painful - Barrister Otegbeye

The demise of Obaladi of Afonland in Ogun State, Oba Busari Adelere Adetona (Orimadegun III) is painful, but we take solace that he is resting in peace with Allah.

This was contained in statement issued today by Barrister Biyi Otegbeye, a leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State and Founder of “Building Opportunities For Tomorrow”, a philanthropic organisation that cares for the welfare of the citizens.

Barrister Otegbeye receives the news of the passing of Oba Adetona, who transited at the age of 62 after 10 years on the throne, with heavy heart and mourns with the people of Afonland and Imeko-Afon Local government.

“After the initial downcast, my heart has been lifted, and we must give thanks to Allah for the eventful and glorious life of the departed. His life was well spent during which the town witnessed some developments that had impacted on the dwellers”, Otegbeye emphasised.

He prayed God to grant Oba Adetona a safe and peaceful passage to Aljana firdaus, and the guidance to complete hitch free burial rites for him.

Otegbeye committed the Afon community to the hands of God, asking for delivery of wisdom from above to find a new and able replacement in the Palace in a foreseeable future.

He then prayed God to grant the royal family, Olori and children of the deceased the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
